NC Kpop Hive team currently does not use, and does not intend to use, Generative AI or related tools in our official work.
We will not accept AI in any official projects, such as BUZZWORTHY.
While we will not deny promotions for any events that use Generation AI, we will not accept collaboration posts that use AI and hold the right to remove our account from collaborative posts if AI is found to be used.
The use of generative systems does not align with our goals of uplifting and supporting human creators within our community.
Many AI tools are built on datasets that do not clearly credit or compensate original artists, which can conflict with our team’s values around consent, attribution, human collaboration, and fair creative practices. Additionally, the environmental effects of AI are not something we wish to encourage. At the end of the day, we wish to support humans first and foremost, always.
NC Kpop Hive is committed to fostering a space where creativity is human-led, community-driven, and ethically grounded. Our stance on Generative AI is not about restriction for restriction’s sake, but about aligning our practices with our values and protecting the creative communities we serve.
We recognize that AI tools exist and may be used by individuals in everyday life, and may be used by our community members and collaborators at any time. We have already seen a large increase in AI-Generated products and posts.
We encourage members of our community to use AI responsibly and transparently, or not at all when possible, and to respect artists’ rights by avoiding unethical practices.
We understand that Generative AI is a valuable tool for many. Still, we hope you are able to educate yourselves on how to use these tools responsibly and ethically, and how to take accountability when making the decision to use Generative AI results as your own.
To use Generative AI responsibly:
• Verify everything, don't trust it blindly
• Protect Privacy by never inputting confidential data into public tools
• Be Transparent, disclosing AI use when appropriate, especially when using it for products or posts
• Use Your Judgment, treating AI as a helpful starting point, not a final product, to maintain creativity and ethics.
• Limit consistent use of AI tools to reduce water usage. Data centers consume significant water for cooling servers. Reducing, optimizing, and being more mindful of AI interactions can directly lower this consumption.
• Use AI to augment or enhance human skills, not replace them.
